Voice Mail

does anyone know how to access ones voice mail from a 3rd party phone? I use Metro PCS. I was told to just hit the # button, but it just told me to leave a message. Hoping that someone I kinda know has my I.D.

Shit just keeps getting worse for me! AARGGHH!!!
